The Farm Behind the Brand
Brendan, Julie & Wes · Deschutes County
Flyte Co. is a small, family-run cannabis farm operating out of Bend, Oregon. The brand was technically founded in 2023, but co-owner Brendan brings more than fifteen years of cultivation experience, getting his start in Oregon's medical and traditional markets before transitioning into the licensed recreational system. He runs the garden with his partner Julie and their garden and wash hand, Wes.
What makes a Flyte Co. jar feel different the moment you open it isn't a single trick — it's the stack. Living soil instead of coco or hydro. Three-gallon pots, kept small on purpose to push terpene density. A rotating organic-input recipe from Vital Garden Supply, varied across vegetative and flowering stages. House-brewed compost teas. Whole-plant hangs in a climate-controlled room held at 55–60% humidity and 55–65°F, for 14 to 16 days depending on bud density. Pest control kept inside the OMRI-certified rotation of Venerate and Regalia — and never past week one of flower.
It's the kind of process most large-tier producers can't sustain without sacrificing throughput. Flyte Co. solves that by staying intentionally small.
Hero Strain — Zikigai
Oregon Leaf, October 2024 Strain of the Month
Zikigai is Flyte Co.'s most recognized release and the strain that put the farm on Oregon's wider radar. Bred by Raw Genetics, it crosses Zkittlez with Archive Seed Bank's Rainbow Belts 2.0 — a Z-forward hybrid with the bag appeal of Rainbow Belts and a sweet, fruit-candy nose that turns creamy and citrus-tinged the moment it's lit.
Flyte sourced its mother directly from the breeder. They were first to drop a Zikigai run on the Oregon market, and the work has since extended into single-source live rosin and hash rosin pulled from their own washed flower.
“Zikigai makes some nice-looking buds that show off that Rainbow Belts 2.0 bag appeal but also gives off a very Z-forward presence in its taste and smell… The effects hit hard and fast, bringing on a euphoric body high that's not too cerebral but allows a sort of calm focus.”

From Our Counter
Why we stocked it
We've been carrying flower from more than forty Oregon farms since 2014, and Flyte Co. earned a slot on a pretty specific pattern: living-soil indoor, hand-trim, slow cure, and a grower with more than a decade in the medical market behind the scenes. That stack is unusually rare at the micro-tier price point. The Zikigai jar speaks for itself the moment it cracks — that candy-cream-citrus note doesn't read as machine-trim or rushed dry. It reads as patience.
If you've been buying our $11–$15 tier for terps, this is your shelf. That's their Chem Dosi in the shot above — the run that sold out on repeat customers alone. Read our full review to see why. Flyte drops are small and irregular by design, so the fastest way to hear about the next one is our loyalty text list: a 30-second signup at the register.
