Cheap Ounces in Eugene — Real Prices, Real Deals at Green Health Eugene
Eugene has the cheapest legal cannabis market on the West Coast.
At Green Health, ounces start at $55 every day with no membership required. The ladder runs up through a $75 weekly deal ounce, $99 Hindu Kush ounces, and $100 two-ounce bundles — plus $40 light-dep A-bud ounces on Sundays and 20% off full-price ounces every Thursday and Sunday. Prices verified at the register, August 2026. The catch isn't quality — Oregon's flower glut is real and it's been driving down prices since 2018. The catch is knowing what each price tier actually represents and matching the ounce to your use case.

Why Eugene ounces cost less than Portland or California
Two reasons, both structural:
- Oregon supply glut. The state's licensed cultivation capacity has run ahead of in-state recreational demand since 2018. More flower than buyers means downward pressure on wholesale, which pushes through to retail.
- Lane County is a farm county. Eugene sits in the middle of the Willamette Valley's craft cultivation region. We can buy direct from local farms 30 minutes away — no Portland markup, no California excise stack, no out-of-state freight.
What that means at the counter: the same ounce that costs $250 in California or $120 in Portland sits in a Eugene jar at $55–$99. Not because it's worse — because Eugene is closer to the source and the market is saturated.
The four ounce tiers in Eugene
Most Eugene shops price ounces in roughly four buckets. Knowing what tier you're shopping helps you set expectations and not feel ripped off (or surprised) at either end.
Everyday Ounce
Often outdoor or greenhouse. Smaller buds or popcorn. Decent THC, modest terpene profile. Honest daily-use weed at the lowest legal price.

What's actually different between $55 and $99
The honest answer: cultivation method, freshness, terpene profile, and trim quality. THC percentage is the smallest factor of the four.

Our flower tiers, top to bottom
We price flower across seven gram tiers, then aggregate at the ounce level for the math to work in your favor. Here's the full price ladder:
Ounce math at Green Health:
- $55 everyday ounces — the $5-per-gram tier (regular $84), for everyone, every day. No membership, no signup. Honest entry-level rec ounces.
- $40 Sunday ounces — light-dep A-buds, Sundays only. The cheapest full-bud ounce of the week.
- $75 weekly deal ounce — one $7-per-gram-tier strain marked down from $99, rotating weekly. Check today’s deals or ask the counter for this week’s strain.
- $99 Hindu Kush ounces — our standing single-strain special from High Valley Organics. When it rotates into the weekly deal slot, it drops to $75.
- $100 for two ounces — $50 an ounce, the best per-gram math on the menu, for everyone — no loyalty card needed. OMMP patients get their own pricing: $46 ounces, $84 for two (card guide here).
- Premium and reserve ounces $150–$357 — the $9 to $17-per-gram tiers: indoor and top-tier greenhouse from Eugene-grown Eugreen No-Till, Herbal Dynamics, Focus North Gardens, and other named farms. These are the ounces the Thursday & Sunday 20% discount hits.
Best days to buy ounces in Eugene
Daily percentage deals apply to full retail pricing — they don’t stack with the $40, $55, $75, $99, or $100 deal prices. Four days of the week make the math meaningfully better on ounces:
- Thursdays & Sundays — 20% off full-price ounces, both days. The $9-per-gram tier drops from $150 to $120; the $17-per-gram top shelf drops from $357 to $285.60. Deal-priced ounces — $40 Sunday, $55 everyday, $75 weekly deal, $99 Hindu Kush, $100 two-ounce — are excluded, because they’re already the deal.
- Sundays — $40 light-dep A-bud ounces. Sundays only, plus 15% off topicals & tinctures. Loyalty members add 2× points and penny joints on top.
- Mondays & Fridays — 10% off bulk flower. Includes Bulk Flower Friday’s rotating featured strains. Mondays add 2× loyalty points and a prize-wheel spin.

What to look for at any price tier
Whether you're spending $55 or $200, the same things tell you whether the ounce is worth it. Ask the budtender to show you the jar before you commit:
- Smell. If you can smell it through the jar, the terpenes are alive. If it smells like hay or nothing, the cure or the storage went wrong.
- Bud structure. Should be dense but not hard, with visible trichomes. Crumbly or stick-like buds indicate over-dry; soft squish indicates under-cured.
- Trim quality. Hand-trimmed flower has clean edges and minimal stem. Machine-trimmed is fine at the cheap tier — just check for excess sugar leaves.
- Color. Greens and purples should be vibrant. Brown indicates oxidation (old) or heat damage during cure.
- Harvest date. Look for batch date on the label. Fresh = within 3 months. Solid = 3–6 months. Older than 6 months on $99+ ounces is a fair question to raise.
- THC percentage. Useful but overrated. Above 20% is plenty for most users — anything from 18 to 28 is in the normal range. The terpene profile and your tolerance matter more than the THC number.

Are cheap ounces actually good?
Mostly yes, with one rule: match the ounce to the use case. A $55 ounce isn't bad — it's a different product than a $150 ounce, and which is "better" depends on what you're doing with it.
The biggest mistake we see customers make is buying down too far for the experience they want. If you're chasing terpene-rich, recent-harvest flower, save the Thursday discount and grab the $99 ounce — it's the right tool for that job. If you go through an ounce a week and just want clean, decent weed, the $55 everyday is probably more than fine.
The second biggest mistake: storing your ounce wrong. Even the best ounce loses 30%+ of its terpenes in 30 days if you keep it in a plastic bag at room temperature. Our cannabis storage guide covers the basics.
Why Eugene-area shoppers leave the ATM at home
Most cannabis shops in Oregon are cash-only. Either you bring exact change, hit an ATM with a $3.50 fee, or short yourself on the order to avoid breaking another twenty.

Yes. Most strains are sold in 1g, 3.5g (eighth), 7g (quarter), 14g (half ounce), and 28g (ounce) increments. A half ounce is a good middle ground if you want to try a premium or reserve strain without committing to a full ounce. Recreational customers can buy up to two ounces per day under Oregon law — that’s what makes our $100 two-ounce bundle possible.
