Ice Cream Cake - Herbal Dynamics

Ice Cream Cake by Herbal Dynamics — Living-Soil Craft Flower in Eugene

Available now at Green Health Eugene | 607 Highway 99 N, Eugene, OR

If you've been looking for an indica-dominant hybrid that delivers dessert-level flavor with serious relaxation, Ice Cream Cake by Herbal Dynamics is exactly that kind of jar. This batch is grown right here in Lane County using living-soil methods, slow-cured for maximum terpene expression, and stocked fresh on our Highway 99 dispensary shelf.

Here's everything you need to know about this cultivar — its genetics, terpene profile, what to expect from the effects, and why Herbal Dynamics is one of our go-to Eugene growers.

Genetics & Lineage

Ice Cream Cake is a 75% indica / 25% sativa hybrid originally developed by Seed Junky Genetics out of California. It's a cross of two powerhouse cultivars:

Wedding Cake (Girl Scout Cookies × Cherry Pie) — an indica-dominant hybrid known for bold potency, dense resin production, and sweet vanilla-dough flavor. Wedding Cake brings the structural backbone and heavy body effects to the Ice Cream Cake cross.

Gelato #33 (Sunset Sherbet × Thin Mint Cookies) — also called "Larry Bird," this balanced hybrid from Sherbinskis delivers the creamy, dessert-forward terpene profile and visual appeal. Gelato #33 is responsible for much of the sweet, smooth character in Ice Cream Cake.

The result is a cultivar with deep genetic roots in the Cookies family tree, combining the best resin production, flavor complexity, and indica-leaning effects from both parent lines.

Terpene Profile

One of the reasons we love carrying Herbal Dynamics flower is their living-soil cultivation — it lets terpene profiles develop with more complexity and depth than you'll find in most commercially grown cannabis. Ice Cream Cake expresses a layered blend of four primary terpenes:

Caryophyllene — The dominant terpene in this cultivar. Caryophyllene delivers spicy, peppery warmth and is the only terpene known to directly interact with CB2 receptors in the endocannabinoid system. It's associated with potential anti-inflammatory properties and gives Ice Cream Cake its subtle savory edge beneath the sweetness.

Limonene — Adds citrus brightness to the overall profile. Limonene is commonly associated with mood elevation and stress relief. In Ice Cream Cake, it provides the clean, zesty top note that keeps the flavor from being one-dimensional.

Myrcene — The earthy, tropical foundation. Myrcene is one of the most common cannabis terpenes, also found in mangoes, hops, and lemongrass. It's linked to enhanced sedative effects and contributes to the body-heavy relaxation that makes Ice Cream Cake a strong evening choice.

Linalool — The floral, lavender-like terpene that rounds out the profile. Linalool is associated with calming, anxiolytic properties and adds a smooth, aromatic finish to the exhale. It's a big part of why Ice Cream Cake smells as inviting as it tastes.

What to Expect — Effects & Experience

Ice Cream Cake typically tests between 20–25% THC. This is a strain built for experienced consumers who appreciate a full-spectrum indica experience.

The onset usually begins with a gentle cerebral lift — a wave of mental ease that softens racing thoughts and puts you in a calm, contented headspace. Within 15–20 minutes, a deep body relaxation sets in. This isn't a couch-lock sledgehammer for most people, but it's decidedly heavy — the kind of high that pairs well with a movie, a meal, or winding down before bed.

Common reported effects: Relaxation, euphoria, sleepiness, appetite stimulation

Flavor notes: Sweet cream, vanilla, sugary dough, with a nutty finish and subtle skunky earthiness on the exhale

Best for: Evening use, unwinding after work, sleep support, chronic discomfort

About Herbal Dynamics — Eugene's Living-Soil Cultivator

Herbal Dynamics is a Eugene, Oregon cultivator focused on soil-first growing, careful hand-work, and slow curing. Their approach prioritizes terpene expression and flower quality over sheer volume:

  • Living soil with organic-leaning inputs that let each strain's natural terpene character develop fully

  • Beneficial insect IPM and tight environmental control instead of heavy chemical interventions

  • Slow, climate-controlled dry and cure that preserves volatile terpenes and produces a smooth, clean burn

We carry Herbal Dynamics because their flower consistently delivers on nose, structure, and cure quality. Other Herbal Dynamics strains we've stocked include Velvet Glove, Z-85, Frosted Flakes, and Bankroll — all grown with the same living-soil approach right here in Lane County.

Budtender Pairing Pick

Our staff's favorite ways to pair Ice Cream Cake for a full evening session:

For the movie night crowd: Ice Cream Cake flower in a joint paired with a low-dose edible gummy (5–10mg) about 30 minutes before the feature. The flower hits first for instant relaxation, and the edible carries you through.

For the pain relief crew: Pair it with a Siskiyou Sungrown 1:1 RSO on a cracker an hour before bed. The caryophyllene in ICC stacks with the RSO's full-spectrum body calm.

For flavor chasers: Grind it into a clean glass bowl instead of a paper. The sweet cream and vanilla terps come through cleaner without the burn of rolling paper. Pair with dark chocolate and coffee — it's dessert on dessert.

Located right here in the Four Corners area at 607 Highway 99 N, we are proud to drop a fresh batch of Black Patronus from the legendary cultivators at Eugreen Farms.

Testing at a staggering 30.81% THC, this isn't just another shelf-flower; it's a craft cannabis experience rooted in sustainable farming and top-tier genetics.

Brand Profile: Eugreen Farms

Flavor Over Everything

Before we dive into the strain, we have to talk about the growers. Eugreen Farms is a staple in the Oregon cannabis community, renowned for their motto: "Flavor Over Everything."

They are one of the few commercial growers in the state utilizing No-Till Living Soil practices.

  • What does this mean for you? Instead of feeding the plant synthetic salt nutrients, they feed the soil with organic matter and beneficial microbes.

  • The Result: A more robust terpene profile, smoother smoke, and a cleaner ash. When you buy Eugreen at Green Health, you are supporting sustainable agriculture that mimics nature’s own cycle.

Strain Review: Black Patronus

Lineage: RS-11 x Falcon 9 Class: Indica-Dominant Hybrid THC: 30.81%

The Black Patronus is a visual stunner. True to its name, the buds are often so deep purple they appear nearly black, contrasted by a frost-like coating of sugary trichomes and bright orange pistils.

The Terpene Profile

This batch is heavy on the "gas" but balanced by complex sweet notes. The primary terpenes driving this 30%+ THC engine include:

  • Limonene: Provides a sharp citrus kick that uplifts the mood.

  • Caryophyllene: Adds a spicy, peppery undertone that may help with inflammation.

  • Myrcene: The "couch-lock" terpene that gives this strain its deeply relaxing body effects.

Aroma & Effects

Cracking the jar releases a potent mix of fuel, pine, and fermented fruit. On the exhale, expect a smooth, creamy smoke with hints of anise and pepper.

Despite the high THC, the high is often described as "magical" rather than overwhelming. It starts with a euphoric head rush that melts into a heavy, comforting body buzz. It’s ideal for:

  • Chronic pain relief.

  • Decompressing after a long work week.

  • Deep, restorative sleep.
